Hot Doug’s Specials List – Closing and Kendall

Hot Doug’s may not stay open forever (or it may …), so it’s worth it to take a look back … back to the college days. Young Mr. Sohn learned how to correctly place a wiener in a bun at Kendall College. And as such, he was honored with something or the other by Kendall in 2008. So, for a list in November 2008, I suggested other famous chef alums from Kendall who went on to great(er) things. I thought it was funny. Apparently, Doug did not, because he didn’t use this list. Also, I think he didn’t want to list some chefs if he didn’t list them all. The image is from Kendall College. Douggie ain’t in it.

Hot Doug’s Specials – Backup Catchers

Doug and I share a certain affinity for backup catchers. It takes a special breed to be the guy behind the guy who dons the tools of ignorance. For this November 11, 2008 list, I supplied Hot Doug’s with a list of Cubs’ backup catchers, since Doug is a big fan of that particular ballclub. I think we would both agree – Henry Blanco, man … HE was a backup catcher.

The List:

Koyie Hill
Jason Kendall
Rob Bowen
Henry Blanco
Paul Bako
Mike Difelice
Damian Miller
Josh Paul
Robert Machado

Henry Blanco
